Check list before going sailing according to Salvament Marítimo

Before going out to sea it is advisable to check:
- Weather forecast
- Navigation and governance equipment (compass, slider, rudder and radar)
- Fuel for the trip and reservation
- Communications equipment (VHF-LSD)
- Nautical charts of the area
- Propulsion equipment (oil, levels, cooling, horn, filters, spark plugs)
- Sealing and pumping systems (bottom valves, bilges, toilets, sinks, hatches, hatches)
- State of the batteries (level, charge, corrosions, charger, connections)
- Power sockets condition (tightness, terminals)
- Navigation lights (sealing, bulbs, caps)
- Flashlights and spare batteries
- Lifejacket for each crew member (if applicable, children's size) (check: whistle, straps, reflective tape, name of vessel)
- Safety harness
- Status of safety equipment (rafts, flares, smoke signals, signal mirror, rings)
- Fire fighting system
- Radar reflector, beacon (406 Mhz)
- Drinking water (in tanks)
- Navigation plan (deliver/communicate it to the Nautical Club)
- Ship documentation
- Anchors and heads (stowage, corrosions, windlass brake)
- Alternative means of propulsion
- Tools, spare parts
- Thermal clothes
- Pharmaciola, tablets against dizziness
- Razors, fishing tackle
- Warm clothes/raincoats
